Who will be the coach to lead us into the MEAC? Who will have the Tigers dominating schools like SCSU and FAMU on saturdays?
Raymond Gross - Former ga southern assistant Pete Richardson - forner Southern head coach David Blanchard - SCSU assistant head coach Alvin Wyatt - former bethune cookman head coach
Personally I think we need to go with an option coach.
what do you guys think?

I’m pulling for SSU athletics but I’m not sure what quality coach would want to come to a school that does not have an athletic director in place, minimum budget and high turnover amongst coaches and staff. It would be interesting but I think the pool of candidates are going to be coaches without a current job, coaches who are trying to jump from a coordinator to a head coach position or a Division II head coach who is trying to move up to Division I.

I think the current staff should be able to remain in place for one more year. They should have the chance to compete in the MEAC and have a regular slate of home games, and not this 2 home game at the end of the season mess. There have been too many coaching changes. No continuity. Lets see what the current staff can do in conference play next year. and then decide to keep or dump them.

I understand they that they are close to making a decision on the head coaching situation. I am in favor of Gross. He is young and does not have the baggage that Wyatt has. Wyatt has BCU in litigation now. We had enough of that when we had Ivy Williams from Alabama here. He was involved in the Albert Means case. Gross knows the real triple option. He is untested, but, we could grow with him. He would be committed and provide stability to the program.

Pete Richardson is still drawing a hefty salary from Southern, so he is not hunting a job.

I have a feeling it is going to be an assistant from a white college. Julius Dixon will not be chosen.
